Musician ‘No Last Chances’ talks about his life and music
No Last Chances is a solo musician on his rise to the top. With the release of his new album he has gained recognition form Google, Guitar manufacturers and have a huge drive to succeed. We are sharing our recent interview with the artist here.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
No Last Chances : Hi, I’m No Last Chances. This is a solo project I set up about 4 years back. It was more set up for fun, to express myself in ways I couldn’t through other platforms, but it has soon grown into what it is now. A recognised name with a dedicated following. which I’m eternally grateful for
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
No Last Chances : My parents were the heavy push to get into it surprisingly. I was always into music, writing and playing in my room to myself, and I probably would of stayed that way without them pushing me so hard to get out there and show the world what I have to offer. I know for a lot of people their parents are what stops them but I was lucky enough to have parents who pushed me into doing more. what made me the person I am now though was my first band Omiera. I was auditioning to be the guitarist but the position was already filled. So they asked me to try vocals. I gave it a go and since then I’ve developed the techniques I have today. Without all these people pushing me to try things I’ve never thought I could do, I never would of realised I could to them.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recently released album ?
No Last Chances : I put out ” A Step In The Right Direction” almost month ago. I’m really proud of this one. I always try to challenge myself with what I can do with every release, I never want to put the same thing out twice, but this album far exceeded my expectations. instrumentally, vocally, even production wise, I really went for something new, experimental and that I have never hear before. The result is something exceptional to everyone who listens.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
No Last Chances : Only positive feedback (so far) and I have been showing this to a wide variety of people. People into rap, metal, hard core, jazz. They all have a positive reception to it. which is really surprising, but makes me very happy. My goal is to invite as many people to listen to my music as possible. I never want anyone to turn off my music because it isn’t “their style”. it’s a hard goal to achieve sop I’m very happy to be getting this response from people.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
No Last Chances : Studio work for sure. In the studio you’re in the perfect environment to shape you sound, You control every element of what you hear and there is something magical about that.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre
No Last Chances : It differs from time to tame. Last week rap, this week, death metal, tomorrow, who knows?
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
No Last Chances : Yes, though right now I have blown away the goals I had set to achieve in 5 years. I have a guitar endorsement, I’m on Googles home page. These are things I wouldn’t of thought would happen till 8 years or so in going off other artists. I think I need to be a lot more harder on myself with setting goals from now on.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
No Last Chances : Yes actually. My album “A Step In The Right Direction” is only a month old but I already have a line of covers to come out. One that I can say is going to be Imagine Dragons – Thunder.
