THE EFFEX Talks About His Passion For Music
We are sharing our recent interview with a young and talented music artist THE EFFEX.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
THE EFFEX : I’m an passionate music artist raised in Dallas, Texas who has always been surrounded with music early in my life and as I got older it became my calling.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
THE EFFEX : The music side of my family has gotten me inspired to do music and get into the industry, also the creative mindset and expectations I hold for myself to be an “phenomenal artist” comes into play for me to share, create lyrics to have my art inspire others.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent project ?
THE EFFEX : My recent project “Me Over Him” was something I wanted to have fun with myself as for YV Xeno and my producer Lil Teacup. I been working and dreading myself with school, music, and the demands of life. I made that song in particular to describe a recent relationship problem with a female who has a guy which isn’t the guy for her and I belive I’m the better guy for her so I intended the song to be playful and relaxed rather some “Marvins Room” Drake kinda vibe for once.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
THE EFFEX : So once I released the song all the guys I hanged with got kinda wild about it and kinda made it their anthem it’s crazy, I was playing Fortnite with one of my friends and all the sudden this random guy we was playing with was playing it and it was such a crazy experience in the moment, wasn’t expecting a crazy response for the guys side of my audience
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
THE EFFEX : I’m more attracted to the stage, honestly I feel like the stage is like a painter releasing a painting, it’s a feeling of accomplishment when you go out and preform live with people who enjoys your music and it’s highly beneficial for the artist and the audience because we both get that “connection” through the performance rather the studio I’m just by myself most nights recording music getting bored.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
THE EFFEX : I enjoy Hip-Hop and R&B can’t really just pick one genre because my inspirations are from Drake and The Weeknd and those are genres I’m focused in
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
THE EFFEX : As an artist or even in life in order to get to where you wanna go, you need to have goals for your self period. As for me I plan on growing my fanbase and connecting with them more, I also want to influence my audiences like my influences did for me and to keep climbing and climbing to where my mother doesn’t have to work anymore and be retired without any worries at 45
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
THE EFFEX : My next project is actually my first album. The name of my project is called “Teen Love” and it’s set to release sometime in early 2019 maybe around January and it’s an narrative with me reminiscing about relationship failures and moving on from ex’s it’s pretty mellow and it’s relatable .
