Vasko talks about his Life & Passion for Music

Vasko is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto/Canada, with a huge passion for writing and recording music for public around the world. Vasko’s songs are a mixed of his influences, from pop to rock going from electronic to epic sounds. After almost 15 years of live shows, he is now in studio recording his first album coming out the end of the year. “His bringing a storm of fresh air to the music industry.
We had this conversation with him recently.

Twist Online : First Tell us a little about the starting of your music career.
Vasko : I always had this passion for music since I was a kid. My parents had this vinyl player at home that was constantly playing music of all genres, basically it was very hard to get away from it. Then as I got older, I decided to get involved in bands as a lead in different projects, with different styles but all with a same idea “Cover bands”. Finally, when I moved to North America around 15 years ago, I decided to start my solo career, writing and composing my own tunes.

Twist Online : Singing or song writing what’s more interesting job?
Vasko : I find that writing gives you the freedom of saying whatever you want without frontiers and rules but on the other hand I feel that I was born on the stage, so I think I prefer the singing part.

Twist Online : Finally your fans will have your first Album. How much you are excited and passionate about this?
Vasko : I honestly can’t wait for the releasing day! I am very excited, we are going to follow that with a few concerts in Canada, US and there will possibly be a few dates in Europe as well. I am working very hard to provide the best for fans. I hope you guys like it!!

Twist Online : Are you inspired of someone in music industry?
Vasko : I have a lot of influences in my career, from Bruce Springsteen, Thirty seconds to mars, Nine Inch Nails to the Weekend, But at the end of day I just want this album to sound like myself.

Twist Online : What music genre you like ?
Vasko : That’s a tough Twist Online, but I would say electro rock and pop.

Twist Online : You have been performing live since last 15 years. Any particular performance that’s unforgettable for you?
Vasko : I had a few that I will never forget but overall, they are all memorable in different way.

Twist Online : Do you work according to plans to achieve your goals?
Vasko : I find when you put a lot of pressure on yourself to achieve goals, you end up making mistakes. Its very important in projects like this to stay grounded, follow the plan but at your own pace.

Twist Online : Any plan of releasing your videos of along with your upcoming album?
Vasko : There will be a video for the first single and after that, there will be second one for the second single as well.
