Versatility at it’s peak in “Vocal Works” by Brian Field

Today we have come up with an exciting and versatile album for our readers. Most of the albums we have reviewed so far as based on same theme or all the track follow the similar rhythm and music tone. But the album we are talking about “Vocal Works” by Brian Field is on the peak of versatility in a single album. We can hear a capella choral pieces, orchestral accompaniment songs, broadway-style tunes, and intimate chamber songs with piano accompaniment. The vast stylistic variety of works across the album makes it exciting for the listeners.

Album comprises of 13 tracks. Even though it’s pretty hard to decide which one of these is the best track of the album. But as we have a norm of recommending the best 2 track from the album as per our music critics panel. So the first track we really loved is “Build a Wall! (An American Satire)”.

You can see, the title itself is appealing. satire on President Donald Trump’s 2016 political campaign sayings regarding the immigration crisis and the US relations with Mexico. The song starts with a melodious and engaging tone. You will feel compelled to listen to the track. The singer has a dynamic and inspiring voice and it has a strong vocal projection. The track is simply done and not overly complex. That’s what makes it even more appealing to the listeners.

Once again it was pretty hard to choose the second one for readers recommendation. There was actually tie between two tracks “Let the Light Shine on Me” and a couple of tracks from the 6 poetic tracks from Chimneys, sonnets-realities. All of these are a perfect piece of music. Brian and his teams has really produced some master class music album.

“Let the Light Shine on Me” is one of the album’s highlights, this a capella track places the choir’s vocal powers in full display. Their tight and warm ensemble work allows for the multiple solos to shine through with the utmost delicacy. The chorus is impressive, the pitch range varies, making it rich and engaging.

Overall the album definitely is professional and creative. We find it extremely good and the Brian Field has proved once again how much talent he got. And the music, lyrics and production everything has been done exceptionally well in all the tracks. Overall its a fun listening to the album and I am sure you would put it to repeat mode.
