Winnet talks about her love and passion for music

Today on our Hot Seat we have an up and coming artist Winnet with us. Let’s have a chat with her.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Winnet : Hie my name is Winnet, I was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to the USA when as a teenager. I have always been passionate about music and started realizing that I could sing early on when I was 9 years old.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Winnet : I was inspired a lot by Beyonce growing up, she was true to who she was and was just very inspiring so I listened to a lot of her music. Also my personal experiences inspired me to write music and share my feelings with others. I just knew that at least one person would benefit from my songs.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent track “Never Know Why”?
Winnet : Never Know Why is a song about betrayal and rising above it. Many of us have been betrayed by someone we thought loved us and I’m just expressing the feelings that someone may go through and overcoming them and knowing it will be fine.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Winnet : In such a short space of time I have received great responses and feedback on my social media platforms, my fans love the song!

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Winnet : I enjoy both but would like performing on stage more. Performing on stage helps you connect with fans on a whole other level because you can physically see their reaction,so would definitely want more opportunities to perform.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Winnet : I love Pop music its so fun and free

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Winnet : Yes I have, the most important goal for me is to inspire others!

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Winnet : Yes I’m working on an EP that will have 4 songs.
